Why Captain’s Promise Exists
A €1,199 fishing rod is a serious investment. We’ve seen too many anglers hesitate to fully use their gear – afraid of snapping the tip on a big fish, worried about dropping it on the boat, anxious about the camera failing.
That fear shouldn’t exist when you own premium equipment.
So we built Captain’s Promise: a no-nonsense free repair guarantee that removes the risk from your purchase. Use your rod the way it’s meant to be used. If something breaks, we fix it. Simple.
✅ What’s Covered
Manufacturing Defects (24 months)
Any defect in materials, workmanship, electronics, or assembly. If your rod fails because we built it wrong, we make it right.
Accidental Damage (12 months)
Snapped tip from a big fish? Camera stopped working after a hard knock? We’ll repair it.
Underwater Camera Malfunctions
Built-in camera, wiring, or connection issues – fully covered under the same terms.
❌ What’s NOT Covered (Honest Talk)
We believe in transparency. Captain’s Promise does NOT cover:
- ❌ Lost or stolen rods
- ❌ Damage from intentional misuse or modifications
- ❌ Cosmetic wear (scratches, paint chips, normal aging)
- ❌ Lost accessories sold separately (lures, line, batteries)
- ❌ Damage occurring after the coverage period expires

How to Claim Captain’s Promise
STEP 1

- Your order number
- Photos or video of the issue
- A short description of what happened
We respond within 24 hours.
STEP 2
Ship the Rod to Us
Once we confirm your claim, you ship the rod to our repair workshop. Shipping cost to us is your responsibility – a tracked parcel typically costs €15-30 within the EU.
STEP 3
We Repair & Return – FREE
We diagnose, repair, and ship the rod back to you completely free of charge. Standard repair time: 3-14 working days from when we receive the rod.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to keep my receipt?
No – we have your order in our system. Just provide your order number.
What if my rod was a gift?
No problem. The original purchase order is what matters, not who’s holding the rod. Ask the gifter for the order number.
How many times can I claim?
There’s no claim limit within the coverage period. If something breaks twice, we fix it twice.
What warranty do you offer on your fishing rod cameras?
We provide a 2-year warranty on all fishing rod cameras, ensuring protection against manufacturing defects and giving you peace of mind on every purchase.
Do you ship internationally for repairs?
Yes – we cover return shipping worldwide.
When does coverage start?
From the date your order is delivered.
